Dr. Fetus is the boss level of The End in Super Meat Boy, and the final level of the main story. Unlike most boss levels, it requires all five of the chapter's Light World levels to be completed to be unlocked.
It features Dr. Fetus as the game's final boss. He has finally snapped after many failed attempts to stop Meat Boy, and is now actively gunning him down with a rocket launcher through a colossal labyrinth of sawblades.
Completing this level ends the game and unlocks The Cotton Alley.
Cutscenes[]
Intro[]
Meat Boy is obstructed by Dr. Fetus, who presses a rocket launcher against his face. He pulls the trigger, blowing Meat Boy up. He celebrates, but Meat Boy quickly respawns nearby. Dr. Fetus keeps shooting at him (with Meat Boy respawning each time) until he loses his patience.
Escape[]
Dr. Fetus falls from the suspended bridge, breaking free from his glass jar in the proccess. Meat Boy and Bandage Girl look down at Fetus as he struggles to breathe, only for him to press a button on a remote that starts destroying his castle. Meat Boy puts Bandage Girl on his back and begins their escape.
Outro + credits[]
Meat Boy and Bandage Girl reach the entrance to the crumbling castle, Bandage Girl escapes, but Meat Boy is about to be crushed by falling debris. Thankfully, the debris is caught by Brownie, who gestures Meat Boy to escape. He does, with Brownie falling with the couple leaping away as the castle explodes with him inside.
Meat Boy and Bandage Girl wake back up and look at the exploding castle. They look at each other, finally free from Dr. Fetus' atrocities... only for him to land on Bandage Girl and start pummeling her. The game cuts to the credits from here.
