C.H.A,D. is a recurring boss in the Super Meat Boy series, first appearing in Super Meat Boy. He is an animated mass of blood and tissue who is very playful, which is a detriment due to his size.
General Information[]
Appearance[]
When first seen, C.H.A.D. is a large, spherical blood clot with spherical arms and tail-like appendage. He only has a few, dirty teeth. After his defeat, he becomes much smaller, roughly half the size of Meat Boy.
In Super Meat Boy Forever, he wears pink boxing gloves, orange shorts, and a blue crown. He also has an outie belly button, covered with what appears to be a bandage.
History[]
Super Meat Boy[]
At first, a cutscene will play showing the hospital being overran by blood because of Dr. Fetus. Then, C.H.A.D will form and appear. Like most bosses, C.H.A.D is a huge hazard in a level and there is no way to hurt him as he has no health bar. He stays in the ground overran by blood and will attack often. To beat him, you will have to find 4 keys in 3 different sections of a vertical tower. He will attack in 4 different ways, he’ll appear on the right to telegraph a right to left screen wipe body splash, he’ll be on the left to telegraph a left to right body splash (for both of these, you will need to be in the bottom middle to dodge and survive) and a middle body splash, these are his basic attacks, after you get the key in the level, the roof of it will unlock to reveal another part. Once unlocked, the ground will shake and begin to scroll upward and you will need to climb on the safe pieces of wall to escape until you reach the 2nd sub level, here, his pattern changes from splashes to a left to right and right to left ground run, to go higher, you need to grab the key in the room, then the roof will unlock again and you can climb higher while C.H.A.D does the left to right and right to left ground run again and the floor rises. After a while, you’ll reach the final sub level, here, there are 2 keys, one to unlock the other key’s cage, and another to open the final roof. Here, his pattern changes again to his first one, this time harder to dodge as there is a big pillar in the middle of the room, get both keys and the roof will unlock, causing sunlight to come into the tower and repel C.H.A.D from Meat Boy.
