Bladecatcher is the sixth level of the Light World of The Forest in Super Meat Boy.
It introduces saw blades as hazards; previous levels used them for decoration, but this is the first level in which they can kill Meat Boy.
Strategy[]
Simply jump over the saws as you scale up the level. You can wall-jump up the walls to do this faster. The third and final saw is bigger with little ground before it, so it may be worth it to wall jump over it for speed and safety.
Trivia[]
- This is the first level with any non-decoration hazard, not including falling off the screen.
- Pre-release footage featured a Warp Zone segment that with near-identical level geometry to this level.
Name origin[]
- "Bladecatcher" is a song by the band Mastodon.
- The song is from the album Blood Mountain, which is also the name inspiration for 1-14 Blood Mountain.
